The challenge is going to be the holidays around Labor Day Weekend.

At least it's *in* the UK at the moment - I wonder what the long delay is for?

I guess that ETD is "Estimated Time(of) Departure" - which is tomorrow for TAGUS according to this, but 8/12 according to their website.

Let's see what happens!

Maybe not...

This other page from the same site (http://www.ais-live.co.uk/) shows departure on 8/12

Going to go and get a life now!

Welcome E92_TT!

I hate to break this to you - but the ship is running late atm, so ETA into *the port* is now 8/30, so dealership ETA to CA is going to be 2-3 days later....

I note that you're a BMW Tech - anything you can do to speed our ship up? <LOL>

That's just not fair

Hopefully it's not in for fuel pump problems!

Do you know anything about the alleged "new pump"? How about the claimed "New head" on the 08 335 engine?

not much news. but from what I've been noticing the early production 335 is getting oil/coolant mix at around 6k-7k miles. me and my mentor replaced 2 335 motor because of this issue now. But I'm sure BMW is aware of these issues and are doing there best to resolve them. Lucky I waited for later production 335

Interesting....

Hey, if a BMW Tech ordered the same model, that's good enough for me

Mine's on TAGUS as well...

Dropped mine off at EH Harms in Munich on the 31st of July. It's been a long wait since I ordered it back in April, but nothing compared to watching it crawl across the Atlantic...

Looks like we got out of Southampton a bit early! Currently underway, destination = "Manzanillo." Have a good weekend everyone.

National Hurricane Center just released details on "Tropical Depression 4." Not a named storm yet. Looks like it is going to swing into the southern Caribbean. Probably not going to be an issue, at least not for several days. Here's to advance planning. (I'm on lunch break and have nothing else to do!)

Well if Tagus runs into any trouble tell them to drop our cars off in panama,we can fly down there and pick them up , I have a a couple houses in Costa Rica that we can keep them at untill the storm blows over, it's a nice drive from there . Stanford look up San Luis de Grecia, Costa Rica on google earth, that house of ours is up in the mountains of the central valley about 15 minutes from town, nothing will bother it weather wise up their. We have a place down in Tamarindo also, but it's right on the beach so I dont recommend it with a hurricane:

So, everyone's headed to BobbyBimmer's place then? ;p
Stanford335 - that's a seriously early lunch break!

It's a real shame that the wxinfo site hasn't had any updates on TAGUS' location for over a year. I'm getting tracking withdrawal.

Also, although it left the UK earlier than we expected, they haven't pulled the CA arrival date forward (it should be 8/29 now, if we factor in the forward/backward changes)

OK - boredom struck.

Port Hueneme's website shows TAGUS arriving on 8/27 or 8/28 currently. View their ultra-high-technology, real-time updated, satellite-based tracking system here:

http://www.portofhueneme.org/documen...0809133437.pdf

...and, while we wait for TAGUS to appear at the canal, here's another picture:

BobbyBimmer - nice looking spot in Costa Rica. You go there for vacation?

Nice photo agalbraith! Interesting about the Port Hueneme schedule. It looks like the Panama Canal date is probably pretty firm. I'd guess that they have to book a slot in advance. Maybe the trip up the coast won't take the full 8 days? (Seems kinda long at any rate.)

I'm working on the East Coast for the summer, so my lunch breaks happen in a different time zone! TD4 is now a named storm - "Dean." Looks like it is swinging north, forecast to reach Puerto Rico by Sunday morning (August 19th). Maybe Tagus will be be past it by then?

Anyone going to do the two week trial at aislive.com?

We go down to CR about 3 or 4 times a year to vacation and plan on retiring there in about 7 or 8 years. It's a great place, friendly people, very inexpensive to live, there is a golf course about 1/2 hr from our Grecia house and some of the best fishing 2 hours away in either direction. We love it there and have alot of friends who have bought property down there. Its starting to go nuts pricewise for property at most of the beach communities and up in the central valley where our main house is. The house we have in Tamarindo is just a small 1200sf 2bd/2bth place because we dont spend alot of time there.
