speed volume control
Hi folks,
Just wondered if it is possible to turn this off ?? I know you can turn how much it works through the idrive system, but even on its lowest setting it still changes the volume. So - as above - can you switch it off completely ?? Many thanks, Ian |

Can't disable it fully - can only turn it down to minimum.

Neither did I, but now I've seen this thread I'll have a play with it.
To be honest, it's something I've missed and I often wondered why the car didn't have this feature - iDrive is great, but sometimes you have to delve deep to find what you're looking for. Makes you wonder what else there remains to be discovered... |

I have a 335is convertible with i-drive and the speed volume control does not work either. In my old Z4 it worked like a charm and the speed volume worked well to compensate for road noise at high speeds. I've tried adjusting the speed volume control from minimum to maximum, with the car stopped, with the car off, with the car driving: nothing makes a difference. I've had a couple sales guys try to adjust it but they've also been unsuccessful so I'll have to make an appointment to take it in for them to test it out.

This feature is absolutely horrible. My volume changes constantly and it's extremely irritating. Could my i-Drive possibly be broken since it is the same on both minimum and maximum settings? This is something I would like to resolve ASAP.
