interesting, thanks. In that case it wouldn't work. Do you have any diagrams by any chance? realoem doesn't seem to have 335is parts yet.

I drove 5 laps in a row building up speed, last 3 full. oiltemps didn't go above 130 degrees or 265 Fahrenheit. On some parts of the track it dropped back to 250. Outside temp was 60 degrees and sunny. Not that jot but last year with the same temperature I was hitting 280 in the second lap.
It seems that finally U have a track worthy set-up!!!! so happy.
Thanks for posting up all the info on the air ducts marcel. Can't wait to test them out next weekend when i get out to the track. I could use all the additional cooling i can get.

Let us know when one of you installs a vented hood. It has proven to help the HP Autowerks car when compared to their competition. They only ever ran a performance radiator and meth and never overheated.

It would great to understand the reductions in temps based solely on the vented hood.

Im going to try removing the micro filter just for the track. see how that affects the temps. I think without the micro filter housing air can go straight through and up the windowshield... kinda like a giant vent?

Thats my buddy (Purple All Sectors) car. Hes out at buttonwillow this weekend testing out the new dual oil coolers. Hopefully it solves his limp problems as everytime he goes out he limps pretty badly.

I don't think there is any problem getting to limp mode in 60 degree ambient. I have. Should be interesting.

My buddy shot me a quick text tonight after he got back from BW. He almost always limps within the first half of the session when driving 7/10 or more, but today he reported no limps at all. Said the dual oil coolers really kept the temps down and the highest temp he hit on track was 250, which immediately dropped down to 240 after a cool down lap.

I'm sure he'll post something up once he gets the chance.

I bought the BMW Performance Bumper to help with cooling. There are no fog lamps to block air flow. The two outer portions of the bumper feed air directly to the oil cooler.
