I Fked up...Broke off e90 steering wheel emblem...please help!

Just like the title says, I bought a set of carbon fiber emblems from ebay to replace my blue ones from the trunk, hood and steering wheel.
I looked up instructions on how to remove the trunk and hood emblems. I automatically thought that the same procedure was needed to remove the steering wheel emblem and I just pried it out, then realized it actually completely attached to the airbag cover. What can I do now?
Please help!

Unless you want to get a whole new airbag, I'd just suggest gluing it back with some type of strong glue. Superglue/gorilla glue maybe?

Well after I removed the old one I realized that it was actually attached with clips (well they are not actually clips but part of the emblem.) When I pulled the emblem off the clips stayed. I used a flat head screwdriver to kinda remove as much of the clips as I could. Then I just place the new one, which has a adhesive backing, on top. It doesn't look good...kinda shows the metal part. There's really no way to to something about this.
Can't I just remove the airbag cover and replaced the emblem with some clips? How do I go about removing the airbag cover?

Yea, I seen that airbag cover on ebay but I don't have the rounded one...it's more..like a triangular shape? How do I know which is the sport version?

I also found this: better price only $50, it looks exactly like the one I have
http://www.airbagsmaster.com/product...-airbag-cover/

How to I take off the airbag cover without setting the airbag off?

That's the last thing that I am worried about. I'm worried about fixing an issue.

Shit, it's not like people never made a mistake because they didn't research properly before doing a mod.

I must admit I did the same thing. The CF emblem is supposed to be glued over the stock emblem. So I bought one of these replacement covers and swapped mine out. It's not all that hard and you take the activation mechanism out before you take the old cover off. Looks as good as new and no blown airbag during the process!

I know it's supposed to be glued of the stock one...I only found out after. I was too excited to put 'em on. ChasVS...can you give me more info on this? The cover on that airbags master website looks cheaper.

I will post pics of what I did as soon as someone send me a link of how to replace the airbag cover without setting the airbag off. I think my next project is to buy the cover from airbagmasters.com, it's only $50 bucks so not too bad. I've been googling it but can't find anything good.

Are you going to take the engine out to swap your grill? haha
Sorry to laugh man but its important to read the directions first or at least take stock of your supplies first. I mean: you had to have notice that you only had two roundels and the rest were stickers/overlays, right?
What's a new airbag? $800? I hope you don't have to do that. But we'd need to see pictures to know for sure...

you have the non-sport steering wheel. if i were you, id use this opportunity to upgrade to the sport steering wheel altogether. the non-sport wheel looks crappy imo.
