Willow Springs June 2-3

Is anyone else going to the LA chapter driving school at Willow Springs over the weekend of June 2-3?

Ok I'll bite. What mods have been done under the hood? I saw some pretty fast tuned 2.0T Audis in the more experienced run groups at Road America last time I was there.

Thinking about it... Doing the $ vs fun balancing act. Also that's a fairly fast track. Kind of nervous with all the new 335i power around turn 8-9. It was pretty hairy with my 328 e46. Going to Buttonwillow first to try to get a better feel for the new baby.

Yeah I’ve never driven Willow Springs. In fact I’m a relative rookie and have only gone to three driving schools (1 Audi club and 2 BMW club) all of which were at Road America when I lived in WI. I’ll be in the novice group but if not I will ask to be since I’ve never driven the track. I’m looking forward to trying the 335 with the new step and paddles (my first auto – I drive 20k/yr in LA/OC) on the track though I already miss the manual trans in the M3.

FYI, San Diego Chapter is doing a Buttonwillow school 5/12&13. It's probably a better first time track. Less elevation changes, more run off room, etc.

Its an APR stage 2 car with different manifold/bigger turbo (K04). It has APR exhaust/voglund coilovers/Stoptech 355mm BBK/SSR comp wheels/Toyo RA1 tires. It has the DTM front bumper..with carbon fiber lip. It goes pretty good.

I wish i could make it, but my car would probably be delivered around the first week of june. I plan on tracking it as soon as i rack up some miles so hopefully i'll make it to the next day at streets of willow.

Have a great time man, hopefully i'll see some of you guys at the track in the future.

<bump> As of this afternoon only three more registrations were needed to prevent CCA from canceling the event. Anyone else...?
