Shit I tried to hide shit from my wife all the time, but get busted everytime!! lol Now I just order the shit and tell her, even though she thinks I am retarded for modding a perfectly new car....Yeah I know people are going to say BLA BLA BLA about hiding shit from wife, but when it gets to the point where expenses take away from vacations and other things, she flips a lid...Especially since I have two young boys that also wants TOYS, baseball, soccer.... I have slowed down this year dramatically due to the economy and expenses...Modding is sometimes a really bad addiction and it seems as though I am getting better! But then again, I have almost ordered everything for my car already!!

Moding cars has been my passion since the first car I've purchased when I was 21, used 6 year old Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 2dr V8/305) . Moded every car I've owned. This is now my 4th project and certainly the fastest transformation, six months. On the second day after I picked it up JB3 and DCI Air intake were installed.

The irony. Originally I was about to purchase AW fully loaded 2008 brand new 535i. Negotiated awesome deal on it, close to 15K (incl $6,600 factory incentive) off the MSRP price. BMW wanted to move it badly at the end of Feb. 2009. Told sales person will be back on Saturday with wife and daughter to show them and close the deal. Had absolutely no interest getting 335i Convertible when he showed it to me.

We came back on Saturday. Took 535i for a test drive with my wife and daughter. Wife and daughter said "You're still too young for this car, it's an old fart car. Get it when you retired and we move to Florida. Get something more sporty". Came back from test drive. I asked sales-rep if they still have any 2008 E92/335i left. He had nothing that I liked. We were about to leave, when he says to my wife: "I showed your husband Convertible when he was here by himself, would she like to see it ?". At that point I knew as soon as my wife and daughter saw it, which was parked in the underground garage, he would make a sale if the price is right . When they saw it my wife said: "Get yourself convertible...it has the look of sporty style and luxury...spoil yourself...you deserve it...negotiate the price you like and get it".

Two weeks later after taking my family on a two week Southern Caribbean cruise vacation I was picking up my brand new 2008 AW 335i Vert. As soon as I was driving it home with roof down from the dealership I was thanking in my head my wife and daughter for convincing me to get it.

Wife has been relatively cool about me spending $$$ on transforming it since she knows it's my passion. She still remembers 18 years ago when we were dating my souped up Olds that I traded in, after my daughter was born, for a brand new family car....... Sporty Dodge Avenger Coupe. Once in a while she'll get jealous that I've been focusing too much time on researching MODs for my transformation project.

Daughter loves it and shows it of to all of her friends. Tells them the latest changes I've made and makes me to be the chauffeur to drive them to the movies, shopping malls and etc.

It certainly so far has been the Ultimate car I've owned and Moded
