Hey guys. I'm not too good with offsets and that sort of thing but heres my situation:

I own a 2004 (e60) 525i and I have staggered 19" VMR wheels on it

I am very close to purchasing a 2008 335i, and was wondering if its possible to get my old wheels to fit on without issue? From what i read, 5 series have a lower offset so would a set of spacers do the trick or am i completely getting this wrong? Please any help would be much appreciated. I may buy the 335 saturday and need to know if i should sell my old wheels. Thanks for any input...

What offset are the VMRs?

Even if it's '5series offsets' it should fit - might have to do a little bit of work but it would look good!

Ill have to check but as I remember 5 series typically have offsets around 15 to 20. I'm not sure what e90s require but I believe its more in the 40 range? Either way thanks for the input, hopefully in a few days I can test it out because I think the hyperblack would look really good on a black 335. Now I just have to pay for the car haha

Actually was told by Tischer that a 5 series space saver wheel would fit an E9X so maybe you're close

5 series offsets are usually in the 15-20 range, E9X 30-40.

Then again, offset is nothing without width - so assuming you have 8.5 up front and 9.5 ET22 out the back it can work.

Can't go wrong with a test fit!

They won't work on your 3-series. 5-series have low offsets while 3-series have higher offsets. You're gonna rub in the front and back.

At worst case your at a 19x8.5 et 20 front and 19x9.5et22 rear - with will fit great and be a nice flush look. Might need a rear fender roll but that's nothing major.

i am looking for e60 wheels for my e90 but you have to get different size tires. and also lci e90s use a different rear offsets. if you have to run snow chains i wouldnt use that aggressive of a wheel.

Spacers will virtually lower the offset of the wheel since you are placing material on the hub to push the wheels out.

Unfortunately since the 5-Series runs low offset wheels, they will not work on a 335i without stretched tires and fender work. Recommended fitment is 8.5 +35 and a 9.5 +33 for a flush fitment on 235/265 tires.

i am currently running 18x8.5 et18 up front with a 225/40, and 18x9.5 et20 255/35 in the rear with eibach sportlines no fender work and no rubbing under any circumstance it fits pre lci e90's perfect in 19" with 35 and 30 series tires it would be virtually the same slightly taller but less then 1/4" which i dont see any problems with that at all. but of course that is pre lci i doubt the op would buy a pre lci if he were buying today. and as ive stated above i am seaching ads for e60 take offs i am over the deep dish look and want to go back to the oe look.

Actually, I am buying pre-lci (Im 21 years old, cant be ordering new bimmers). So VMR says they wont fit without major work, but brocklanders looks great and thats nearly the setup my e60 has, just not sure about exact tire sizes. Guess Ill have to just try them out, assuming my deal goes through tomorrow for the 335i (it only has 15k miles and is fully loaded, so pre-lci isnt alllll bad haha)

Oh, Brocks are 18s. Ive got staggered 19s so maybe not. Either way, thanks guys I appreciate you helping out the clueless new guy

it depends on the offset of the aftermarket wheels (as others have previously said above) if they are et15 i wouldnt eeven try it will look silly.if they are et20 you will be fine with 225/35/19 and 255/30/19

Hi! Just joined this site and looking for some advice around offsets and fitments and hoping someone can help me please!

I have a 2006 E90 330d Saloon and seen a lovely pair of wheels that I wanna purchase for the car and not sure if they are gonna fit and dont want to take the word of the person selling them incase hes fobbing me off just so I will buy them!

They are Breyton alloys 8.5j 19" for the fronts with a offset of 30 and the Rears are 9.5j 19" with a offset of 21 with 255/35 on the tyres.

Will these wheels fir my car without any major work being done to them as I dont want to end up buying them if they are not going to fit!

Yes, wheels will fit. Front is fine no need to do anything, but rear tyre is wrong height ratio it needs to be 255/30/19 or you can use 265/30/19 rear tyre which is better match for 235/35 front.

Also rear wheel with that offset and 255/30 or 265/30 might need slight fender roll. Depending how low you are. Nothing major tho.

Like MonacoBlueE90 said, the rear tires should be a 30 profile, instead of 35. The rear offset is more aggressive than I'd recommend as well, so you may need to do fender work.
