Angry Damn Bird Shit!

So today I manage to park my car under a tree since it was like 80 degree here in San Jose. When I came back, I saw my car cover with bunch of bird shit on the hood, wind shield and sum part of da roof. So I took the car to local Shell's carwash and I let it dry for like half hour. After that the car look all clean up but what I realize is that those birdshit damage my paint and I can not take it out sine those shit ate part of the paint  How can I get rid of those dye since it is not JET BLACK anymore. It is more like dusty black now. I feel like shooting all those bird for taking a dump on my damn car Can yall please help me if you were once on my shoes before? The color is JET BLACK.

I had the same experience here. Bird shit ended up fusing with my paint. I took the car to the dealer and they were nice enough to polish it out for free. You can always ask and the worst they can say is no

Someone on here refers to them as bird shat. Yeah, it happened to me too and nothing I can do. The bird shat has very strong chemical and is super radio active when mixed with heat (not that i am a chemist or anything). I always wash it off right away when i see it and hope it does not do too much damage already.

I've recommended this stuff on a few threads, so here goes once again....3M Imperial hand glaze. It will erase the bird shit and bring the black back to your car. Then I would recommend a coat of Zymol liquid wax. Wait 'til you see what that bitch looks like when you're done!

P.S. Stay away from the car wash.

Wouldn't the 3M Imperial Hand Glaze just cover it up? Try using Menzerna Final Polish. If that doesn't work, use menzerna Intensive Polish. This will get the imperfection out. You could use the 3M IHG to get the paint to look darker. IIRC, the 3M IHG is just a filler, not a true polish.

No, No. Imperial Hand Glaze is a non-abrasive compound that emulsifies a microscopic top layer of the finish (I sound like a god damn scientist) withoutout removing much of anything. That's the reason it's so good for the average joe, because there's little risk of damaging the paint like traditional compounds.

I swear by the stuff. +1 for Zymol

Haha! It's true. Z6 does it for me when cleaning bird shit. Never had BS fuse with my paint yet and hopefully it never will. I always get to it within 12 hours or so because I walk around my car every morning to check after I get the mail down at the mailbox. However, if I ever have a problem with it, I've already got a bottle of 3M Imperial Glaze here in my arsenal.

dude, i am surprised you dont have a garage. That must drive you nuts...12 hours is too long to leave bird shat on a paint. got to do better than 12 hrs. try < 6 hrs.

Yeah, it drives me a little nuts some times. In a year I'm moving to a new townhouse and I'll have a garage then. And I haven't had any troubles yet with bird poo. I got nailed on my back window a few days ago but haven't cleaned it off yet. If it was on the paint I would have done it already, but it can't hurt the window.
