Trouble lowering rear kw v1 coilover

I just installed kw v1s on my e90. Is there an easier way to lower the rear without having to drop the control arm again? When I try to spin the perch, the other piece just spins with it.

I just ordered v1s, and ive actually heard of this happening to other people. My one friend has a g35 and couldnt get the adjusting knob to tighten which i think is your problem. I know he watched this video so maybe it'll help you.Even though theyre v2s.. Just skip to 4:50.

Thanks for the info, but the video didn't go over my problem. I just can't get the perch to spin freely from the top black piece. When I spin the perch the top piece spins with it.

i believe if you use a 3 inch c clamp to hold the top while you spin the bottom it should fix your problem
