E90/92/93 335i turbo exhaust question

Hey folks,

I am not even sure how it is called (enlighten me please)... the damn vacum clamp/valve just after the muffler before the tip on the left (driver's side). Has anyone removed it to install other tips for example? Errors? Warranty issues?

I am aware you could unplug the electronic control or pinch it. I am asking about COMPLETE removal.

well i would not modify the original exhaust, think would be best to just change the mufflers like a bastuck or Eisenmann.

I can't due to the warranty. The only thing I could do is just tips and without removing that clamp/valve. Thing is that cyba's tips are not designed to be installed without removing it and cutting all the way to the muffler.

You sure? because the change of the mufflers should not affect the warranty at all. Might be some local law you have in your country.

Yes, I am. It's a banana country. They are giving the customers a hard time because of wheels with offsets different than the OEMs, imagine about things that directly affect the engine

If you plug the vacuum line it shouldn't cause a problem. If you disconnect the vacuum solenoid it will set a code. Just remove the valve and plug the line.

Don't unplug the solenoid, just seal the vacuum hose with a screw or a ball. The exhaust flap will stay open after this mod, no impacts on electronics. However, the flap can rattle a bit until the exhaust gets warm. Find more information here searching for "golf tee mod". You should do this when you install mufflers without a flap as well.
