whats an Aston worth?

looked at an aston vantage at a show on sunday £115,000 i love them to bits and its my dream car, have to say looking at it closely it didnt really seem any better made than the 335 and looking at the cost i could buy a brand new 335d and a 335i vert and have about £35,000 left. still my dream car but i think thats how it will have to stay, a dream!

Ye in the earlier astons going back 6-7 years ago ford group switches/controls were evident but more recent models have gone up quality wise. However r8 isn't much diff, besides the gearstick, a lot of inside stuff is standard to Audi models.

Mmmm DBS...

There's a DBS Volante near me, it's a hugely impressive car. If I owned it I wouldn't care if it had Ford Sierra switchgear.

You can buy an early 55/06 plate vantage, or indeed the bigger DB9 for £35k.
Plus it will fall into the pre March 23rd 2006 'K' road tax band at just £260 per year.. Same as the 335i.. Later cars are top 'M' band at a wopping £460 per year!! Sooo much car for the money.

baby astons are about 35k now on a 06 plate with not many miles so you can have one of those and a 335d and have 45k left over

If only the running costs wouldn't destroy you then the vantage is SUCH a purchase now at 35k..

Then again BECAUSE of the running costs it'll depreciate to low 20s in a couple of years too So still definitely a heart purchase rather than a head one.

I was gonna buy a Vantage last Summer. The 4.3 V8 with manual gearbox is a great combination, but NO back seats swayed me to my 335i Coupe!!

Would like a DB9 next (with back seats) But would look out for one of the rare manual versions!!
