what are these wires in my boot ?

hi all
i have long been searching a way to amplify my speakers in my e90 with the standard 6 speaker system
there is no amp in the boot under the cd changer, but while i was stripping the boot i found this harness just lying there. can anyone help identify these http://picasaweb.google.com/yunus310...01239094597042

thats what i thought to, but it does not match the pictures of the harness shown in the "ultimate wiring guide", how do we know for sure?

is the space where i found them in the picture where the bluetooth module usually is ?

any suggestions on where i can tap wires to add an amp ?

yep. those 2 separate wires you see are the BT antenna wires.

Looks to me like phone preparation wiring/connector... did you get that option when you bought that car?

See the big silver box near the rear seat in the picture below? That's where it would go. My car has the premium package. My guess is Bluetooth or BMW assist.

the amp isn't there... the amp is actually located on the left side under a plastic panel... just pop it off... and it's there... the picture harness u have posted is the the factory lines to connect the factory bluetooth module... of u have any other question... pm me, i did my system, and i work at a car audio shop...

According to the location of the OP, he's from South Africa so we any references to USA E9x equipment is not necessarily correct.

any ideas where to tap wires ?

There's no OEM amp in your car, as your audio system is the basic spec. For you to add an aftermarket amp to your OEM HU you will need to tap wires in the back of the OEM HU.

Or you can get a Blaupunkt THA PnP amp and do what this member did: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136594

if i can find the amp here and hope the wiring is the same here at the tip of africa,. thats the way i will go !
