2008 335 convertible pricing
Hey guys! Just joined the forum, looking to join the ranks of BMW owners
Has anybody on here purchased a convertible yet? I know they're rare, but I've been searching for a convertible with a manual transmission and I finally found one. However, the car is in Maine, and I live in IL; the dealership here has said they can go get it, but it will cost more due to the delivery charges. He has quoted me $54,370, the MSRP is $55370, and the invoice (built it on kbb) is $51,460. So I guess my question is: how much should I pay and where should I begin the negotiations? I know you're supposed to negotiate from invoice, but does the fact that this car is not on their lot make a difference? How do you approach this? Can you say "well I know the invoice is such and such..."? Thanks for all the help!! |

How did you get them down to that? Did you start low or did you negotiate off the MSRP? Do you remember what the MSRP was? I think my sales guy told me it's going to be ~$1500 to ship it, which is probably why they can't take too much off the MSRP...

(i was doing the negotiation on a e92, i changed my mind last second before we signed the papers to go for the e93 and he just added the invoice difference to it). Best thing you can do is get two dealers to compete with each other. Hell, tell them Rallye BMW in nyc is giving these away for 53,000 with the options i listed...tell them to match the price! |

The one I'm looking at is brand new. I want to jump on one of these deals now so that I can take advantage of the great finance rate (0.9%!!) this month.
Anybody know if this might be continued? Seems like too good of a thing to pass up (saves me ~$7k vs a 5.75% rate) Anybody else purchase one of these recently? |

The car must be in the lot, and in your hands by then end of juyl. Mine comes here august 30th (around there) so even though i put a deposit on it, i cant get the 0.9%. Right now I am at 2.9%. |

Don't know how high my MSRP jumped when I changed from e92 to e93, but my msrp for the e92 was $49,725 and final price after negotiation was $46,000. When I changed it to e93, the price went from $46,000 to $53,000.

I just got off the phone with my sales guy:
2008 335i Cv Jet black, black leather Cold weather package Premium package Sport package Active steering Comfort Access Navigation HD Radio Satellite Radio iPod / USB MSRP: $58,820 Invoice: $54,275 I told him another dealer has offered $56K and if he can beat it, the sale is his. What do you guys think? I know the car has to be trucked out to IL from CA, so that adds some expense...dxmned Midwest |

are you sure about the eligibility of the pricing? i was told that, as long as you're in the system (meaning BMWFS approved you) for the month that the promo took place, you're eligible. my CA also told me this was a recent change
