forgot to mention that I push the DTC button once to disable 25% traction control. I know that holding the button for 5 seconds disables it by 75% but I have not tried that yet.

You drive a RWD car. You engine only delivers power to the rear wheels. So how would loss of traction in the front equate to a slower time? You must know something that I don't...

Sniz can you please post one of those awesome epic fail pictures we all love so much?? pretty pleaeeeesse???? op think of it this way, if you launch a motorcycle is it possible for the front wheel to powerspin?? no, because it is not transfering power, its just along for the ride. it might come off the ground but that will not make you feel like it is the one spinning. and i am no drag expert but i do not think a 335i with sstt can power wheelie.

Holding the button for 5 seconds disables DTC and DST.

Bro..trust me, power only goes to the rear wheels. The loss of traction and the quick rpm rise may give you the sensation the fronts are spinning. The only other explanation is maybe the factory badged your car wrong....i instead of xi.

I know that the rear wheels provide all the power but it feels like the two front wheels are struggling to keep up with the power being put down by the back two. I do apologize if I was out of line with some of my comments, Ive had a rough couple days. Anyway, I hope this makes some sense to everyone.

P.S. It would be pretty cool if I had the fastest SSTT 335 on this forum but I doubt it as many others have additional performance mods including SSTT. And thank you to those who clearded up the HP calculations for me. I have never dyno'd my car so the only numbers I have to go by are the Gtech's numbers.

True, but he would probably get too much wheel/tire spin with DTC/DSC disabled...or maybe not with just the SSTT.

Seriously, you'll feel the car pull more with the SSTT, but your not modding a Vette.

How the hell are your front 2 tires spinning you have no power going to them you have a rwd car. And you will need alot more power than an sstt to lift your front wheels off the ground.

Not completely accurate; TQ is great for down low and yes, those neck-snapping launches from 0-60mph, but for the 1/4 mi. (and beyond), you want more HP (and TQ ). Why do you think a high-speed race between an M5 (or other high HP cars > 450HP) and a tuned 335i is tight from 0-120mph, but then after that, the M5 pulls hard and walks away? Answer...the higher HP kills up top.

^lmao...

OP - loss of traction means that you cannot control your car, i.e. coefficient of friction @ the wheels = 0 ==> no traction

Carefully reading the OP, I think that spinning front tires is necessary. If they didn't spin, it would definitely slow the car down dramatically. It's dangerous, but I'll poke my head out the window tomorrow and see if my front tires spin while accelerating. You could probably stop the spinning with a simple modification to the braking system, though I'm not that mechanically inclined.

I think this whole thread is about increasing post counts.
