fuel mixture fault codes help.

My09 335i have been throwing these codes lately. The can runs fine even during WOT but the SES just keeps comming back even after clearing it with BT cable. The car is stock. I've tried searching but there is no definite answer on how to get rid of these codes so if someone can chime in and point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

here are the codes that keep popping up.

Not positive but your primary o2 sensor may need replacement. I'll let others chime though.

I had these exact codes. Replaced the primary oxygen sensors a few wks ago but im still getting the fuel mixture codes even now. Does it even on stock tune. With procede aggressive maps I'm maxing out fuel trims even on pump gas.

that sucks. have you tried anything else like intake valve cleaning, swapping injectors/plugs.

Valve cleaning was done a few thousand miles ago. Haven't touched injectors yet. Have never had a misfire though.

Edit: plugs/coils are brand new as well.

Hmm, that makes me think it's an injector problem then. I would expect some more injector related codes though.

Where is James, the resident troubleshooting expert?

According to the Codes bank(converter) 2, which would be the rear turbo o2 sensor if I recall correctly.

Fuel trims are identical for both banks though, Jeff, so it would seem in my walnut shell-sized brain that that would preclude injector issues, no?

So I have had these codes for a long time. I replaced o2's, Walnut blasting, fuel cleaners etc. But the thing that solved this issue was replacing my injectors. Also at the same time, I had a burnt out Cat in Bank 2 causing abnormally high heat which could have also attributed to the codes. My Guess is that my bank 2 injectors were running rich, burning out my cat and also attributing to these codes. Once I replace my injectors, the codes were resolved.

Interesting, so did you replace all 6 injectors?

Edit: did you log when you were having issues? Was there a difference in trims or AFRs between the two banks?

I'll give this a shot. Going to order some sensors just need some time to install. Will update when I get it done. Thanks for the tip.

Nope just my bank 2, I was also experiencing intermittent misfires in that bank. And yes, my trims varied quite a bit as I replaced the o2's one at a time and one was a bit more lazy than the other because of the mileage difference between the two o2's seemed ok though.

I think the fuel control mixture in my case were injectors going bad in my bank 2.

I see, thanks. Well I'm gonna remove the procede and take it into the dealer to see what they can do since I'm cpo. I haven't had any misfires so I have no way of knowing which set of injectors might be the problem. Can I log anything that will help me determine that?
