Now why would anyone drive around without insurance, and $60k miles? Lol

If the car is in good shape, I'd buy it. My 07 has around 60k on it now and nothing major has gone wrong so far.

And the car is coming without a CPO. However, it is the exact color combo and option packages I want in a 335 with 23k miles on it.

BSM/Black
Manual
Sport, Premium, Cold Weather
162 wheels
And they spent 2100 bucks reconditioning the interior of the car and removing all curb rash from the wheels.

Only thing it doesnt have that I wanted was AWD, but I can deal.

:P

Thanks for chiming in as well. Appreciate the feedback!
My bad. I thought I saw in the First post it had it.

I'd have to agree with some of the others though. I'd save the $4k on the warranty since the usual suspects are covered.

And I didn't see you were a fellow Ohioan. are you getting the car local? I had a good experience with getting my car from Voss up here in Dayton last year.

Bought 07 335 a year ago with just over 40k miles on it. It now has 66k with no problems so far. All I have done is change the oil, plugs and do a carbon cleaning. This year I will change all the fluids, belt, tensioner etc. Go for it!

Bought it! Will post pictures later. Already transferred my OEM Black Lines from the 330 over to the new car!

Thanks to all for helping me make my decision!

I had to drive to Pittsburgh to get the car. My buddy who also lives in Dayton drove me up and we had a fun drive back. He has a tiag 08 335xi with black wheels and a vanguard exhaust. You may have seen him.

We do however, go to a cars and coffee down on the river a couple Saturdays a month. You should come!

I can't say that I have seen him, but then again I don't get out very much. Between the wife, kids, school (MBA student at Wright State), work, and being a landlord I don't get much free time.

If I get time when I'm down in Cincy next I'll let you know. That place looks pretty sweet. Lots of cool cars!

its not that easy....many people are denied. i wouldn't count on dealership replacing turbos for free.

Powertrain - 4100

This is for a 5 year or 60k mile warranty. Seems fairly expensive.

Anyone have any experience with GMPP?
Generally everything thats covered in those warranties never needs replacement, I agree on rip off. Do keep the money though I promise your car will cost you a easy 1k - 1.5k on something. Like mentioned if ur prepared own car like this it ain't big deal but if ur young kid with lower paying job n you see first bill ur gona flip lol.

I can't really say buy or don't buy. However, I just bought my first bmw and it is an 07 335xi. It is a minor damage car (front bumper cover, driver's fender, bags, window shield and rear bumper cover) and I couldn't be more excited. I bought it with the intention of modding it

If your not under warranty in other states it's hard to get turbo's replaced or wastegates fixed for free, it's easy here in California because it's under the emissions state law and they are dead serious strict on emissions here.

+1

It may look good on paper and low mileage but i've heard horror stories of things breaking down even at low mileage, it's actually a hit or miss on these cars. Some get no problems, the common problems, and others get their arm and leg cut off

But goodluck to the OP with the newly bought car.

Sorry to hear that. My 07 335 was perfect for three years, then I got my lci with 11k miles on it and to the day, running like a champ. You can make assumptions and generalizations, but if the car was that bad BMW would be out of business, and the 3 series would not be the standard of the world when it comes to sport sedans.

My 07 has been problem free, as well as many other people on this forum. Some 07s have problems. some done. just like EVERY other year.... Do regular maintenance, dont flog on it when its cold, dont drift it, run good gas, and youll be fine. Modding the car will just make problems occur before they originally would have. Id snag up that manual w/ 23k miles for $22.5k. Great price. Just make sure the interior/paint is in good condition
