Keyed car :(
Alright folks
Someone keyed my car (passenger side tail light all the way to the front head light ) I seen it yesterday and quite frankly I'm so disheartened by it Luckily I did some research and used a bit of the Meg's Scratch X It had removed all the marks and they are not visible thank god ... But when you shine a light on the area there's a slight line but it can not be seen unless I put a torch on it ( directly ) The person who keyed it didn't go all the way down to the metal so it buffed out but anything else I could do I don't know why someone would do this to someone's property ... If you have a problem sort it face to face .. What a cowardly act |

Scratch X wil be a short terms thing if you want to take your eye of the mark for now might be worth trying http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_255240 as this actually is one of those things that if applied correctly actually works

Did you hand buff with scratch x or use a polisher?
You may have to use another application of scratch x if its only a shallow line left or polisher will do a much better job if its still quite deep but be careful you don't go all the way through your clearcoat If it hasnt reached the metal theres no need to worry as it will come out, just be patient and take your time. You have to get the clear coat surrounding the scratch at a similar depth to the scratch to fully get rid of it Alternatively use a polish / wax with a filler to imrpove the appearence but the downside is that these wash out at various time intervals and you'll have to reapply it OR just take it to a detailing shop and they'll get it done for you, it'll cost more but you know the jobs getting done properly |
