V5 Installed - Need Advice on Parameters
I installed the Enthusiast version on my 08' 335 6MT. The car runs very well and I am happy with the product. Here is what I cannot figure out or find the answers to when I search:
Can I gain more power by going in and changing any of the values or does Autotune automatically provide the most power on it's own? The map 1 which is included has max boost set at 16 psi and start boost at 34.9% so I believe I was autotuning at around 11.7 with this. Will changing the start boost to say 43 or 44% raise autotuning and thus provide more power? We did this on a few runs earlier and the car seemed to respond well and Autotune raised to around 13 but as I drove around Autotune lowered itself again back down to 11.7? Using the V5 boost gauge I don't show getting over 11.5 psi on the fuel gauge at any point with map 1. Is this normal? My only other mod is an Injen intake and I run only 93 octane. I just can't figure out if I'm leaving something on the table with the tune and want to know. Any clarity you guys have would be much appreciated. I hate to fire out such basic questions but I am trying to piece this together and make sense of it. Thanks.... |

i suppose you could raise the autotune aggression target to 3... although that's not recommended.
changing the start point of the map to UT 45 or whatever isn't going to do you any favors. You will just start at 14.5 psi or so and it will autotune down. I would contact Vishnu for more support as to why this is happening. It happened to me on pump gas with all bolt-ons, but it was really cold outside. You're in TX, where it should not be anywhere as cold as it is here in NYC. Perhaps bad gas? Try a different station.
