Any good credit union/lenders in socal?
My mom is in the market for a used IS250. I found one on craig's list for a pretty good price $26,500 w/ 13200 miles,Voice-Activated Navigation, Rear spoiler, Bluetooth Technology, Rear View Camera, Ipod Connection, 6 Disc Changer, Sun Roof, Push Button Start, Heated and Ventilated (A/C) seats, Dual Climate Control, 6-Speed Auto Transmission with Paddle Shifters on Steering Wheel, non-smoker. Bumper to bumper warranty.
My question is what should I offer and if you guys know any good banks/credit unions that will lend at a good rate for used cars? I'm thinking my best bet would be a local credit union. 5-7% would be fine. Just wanted some input. Thanks in advanced, greatly appreciated. |

Hey Jimmy! does your mom, or anyone else have a credit union through their work? that might be the best option. i can't think of any good lenders at the moment, but if something pops up, i'll let you know.

Jimmy the problem might now be with the credit union just lenders overall. My brother was in a market for a used Range Rover Sport and no one would give him the loan because he was buying used.
It took us two weeks to finally get the actual loan from Wescom at I think 6%. |

Jimmy. . . You might want to consider a 2008 BMW. . .
I know the price is a bit more but when you factor in the free maintainence, the zero miles that will be on it because it's new, and the incredible interest rate! I think its a better deal |

You can get e90 328's for dirt cheap nowadays, something like $2500 and ~$370 a month included CA sales tax. My numbers may be a little higher than actual numbers you may get at the dealer. |

I had previously used the Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union.. now know as Schools First Credit union and they hooked me up with a loan for a used car the 3rd day after I joined.. Granted this was a couple years back..

The credit union I joned, Golden1 (open to anyone), offered 4.75% on their used auto loans (at least that's what it was when I checked on it last week for a truck I might pick up).

I sold my IS300 to a guy who went through Orange County Credit Union. Seemed like an easy process for both myself as the seller and him as the buyer/borrower. Also, I believe that anyone can join Orange County Credit Union (may have to live in Orange County).
