What do you think??
Unless I am missing something, I get an ED invoice of $33875 with those options.

I managed 2.5% discount from a dealer in UK, but it was very hard work, most offered no dicount at all or any goodies.

Prices

Ok I checked my math and you are right it was the Invoice price. I thought maybe I got lucky but when I went to close the deal he found out his mistake and there you go $1000 more. So, it was basically the same deal $1000 over invoice. Nothing special but still I am happy with the car. Comparing with US MSRP, I saved about 5 g's on the car.

Not sure I follow you. How much did you end up paying for the car?

The salesman quoted me 35800 for the same thing before but at the time of closing the deal he found out that he was making a mistake and that the quote was just the invoice plus tax.

If that includes the MD sales tax, it is indeed a good deal. Congrats!

Unhappy Prices in Poland

I cannot really understand why there are so big price differences between the USA and Europe. BMW 3 Series are produced in Europe and Africa - so there should be no higher costs connected with delivery and shipping. If the prices and equipment of U.S. spec BMWs would be the same or similar to European they will be rather unsellable.

In Poland a 325i costs about 47300$ (34130$ excluding taxes) and a 330i costs about 53170$ (38365$ excluding taxes). For this money you don't get any options like power seats, leather upholstery, xenon headlights etc. For them you have to pay extra. What's more these prices are even higher than in Germany but the main reason for this is in my opinion that BMW wants to be a make for high class Poles only.

PLEASE....

Don't quote prices with taxes and fees - that provides no basis for comparison because tax rates vary so much from one locale to another.

A plea: only post the price you are paying for the car and options, not the "out the door price" - I can't do much with the latter, only the former.

Thanks!

What about this...

My dealer told me that there will be such a demand for the new xi's that they are not offering any incentives... can anyone shed any light on this? I mean I still want my car but I want to know what I should bargin with!??

you realize that "there will be such demand on xxx that there are no discounts/incentives" is a very generic BS statement. It will be high but it's also a way for dealers to tell you that you need to pay them MSRP and they want the full cut of the profit.

Prices are always negotiable. But (for the time being) it seems to be harder to negotiate a good deal on the xi models. In CT nobody would do anything better than 3% off MSRP. In NY you can get 4% off, but not the Invoice + 1500 (about 5% off MSRP) that is achievable on a 330i.
