Exhaust valve not closed on cold start
Hey guys, i noticed that my exhaust flapper is open upon cold start in these cold temperatures and remains open.
I dont have the tee mod and the acutator is plugged in. During the past summer i unplugged it a few times but it always worked fine once plugged back in. Just confused as i thought it stays closed untill warmed up. Cant try unplugging it because its to damn cold and the conector is the biggest pain in the ass to unplug. Anyone else with this issue currently? Maybe the moisture coming out the exhaust is causing the flap to freeze once the car is off. |

That's exactly what it is, and used to happen to me back when I had mine plugged in. If you stand behind the car for a minute or two when idling from a freezing start, you'll hear it eventually close when the ice in the linkage melts.

Yup you guys are right.
Today i started the car and came out to check and it was still open. Came back in the car and actually heard the flap close. Came out to confirm and it was closed. Liang, i had it unplugged but had to bring it in to the dealer for some warranty work and plugged it back in just in case they try to blame the problem on the unplugged valve. Started getting cold so i didnt bother. It's getting unplugged as soon as the temps get in the + |
