Exclamation Anyone good with wiring in NJ?

I need someone to rewire my tail lights so that one of the brake bulbs flashes when i put my turn signals on. my turn signals are tinted and i've been getting pulled over by bored cops, so i need to fix it. tint is not removable from the outside. any suggestions as to where to go or who to contact? thanks

Sounds like a local coder might be able to do that for you??? Might be cheaper and easier to do (easier to reverse as well).

If you wire one of the stop lights to the turn signal and want both to blink, then you'll lose the stop light. Although the bulb is dual filament, you can't have two sources of power to make it blink easily. Might actually blow a fuse, shorten the bulb life span, or create a bulb out error.

We have an extra brake light that turns on when you're braking really hard... I would have that one be the turn signal. It would just swap functions

Should be as easy as soldering a wire to jump from the signal bulb to the target bulb. Literally a thirty second job.

My suggestion would just be ditching the taillight tint rather than adding to it with an illegal light modification...

The tint was permanent I was told.. It's not on the outside of the light..... Can u explain this 30 second job a little more? I need to have functional turn signals before I get ticketed to hell

That's your rear fog light though.

Exactly. That light that comes on due to Brake Force Display is the rear foglight. In this case, the wiring would be a pain since you would have to wire it from the outer tail lights to the inner (through the trunk liner and all).

I dont see how any tint can really be permanent. More details on what you did to the light?

Hit up cn155ic on the boards or PM me for his number. He is a coding guru and can tell you for sure if it is possible or not.

Damn... I believe the light was opened up and tinted from the inside and resealed.

I've asked the coding section, they said it would need physical rewiring.

Lci tail upgrade will be last resort if I can't rewire. No point in spending 600 if I don't need to

.. What about just getting a new set of outers? Don't they go for dirt cheap after people do LCI conversions?

I like my lights how they are now. It's just that the cops don't. Either I rewire if it's relatively cheap/easy or I'm forced to get lci...
