Speed Trap iPhone Application

Has anybody checked this out yet? I would give it a shot, but not too many speed traps in my neck of the woods.

$4.99 isn't bad for it. I don't know how well it will work with my iPhone OG, so I'm not going to purchase it just yet, and there are only 4 reviews but the app does have 3 stars. Might be worth looking into in a few weeks/months.

Wow... this could solve the no radar detector dilemma in VA... Now I really want an iPhone.

No it won't.

As of this moment, a cop could be turning on a radar on the side of the highway and this iphone application won't replace a radar detector in this suitation.

I download software for my Garmin Street Pilot that warned me of the location of red light cameras. I tried to find something similar for iDrive (I have an 07) and did not come up with anything. I finally purchased a Navalert.

Does anyone know if there is any software can be loaded on the new iDrive?

We loaded Trapster and then took a drive through Washington, DC. In this area it's a annoying addition. There's redlight and speed cameras everywhere, so she pretty much yapped the whole time. Also, the iPhone is a little slow - she would generally tell us things after they passed. It might be useful in a less-dense area or when you're traveling.

Thats great, but do you have to have the iPhone on the whole time?

I would have to change the settings where it would NOT automatically lock after so many minutes of inactivity. Then the battery is going to go quick.

I'll pass, but do like the idea someone mentioned about a similar program for a portable GPS. I was about to buy a TomTom, but now I guess I need to do some more research.

I looked for the one that I could hook up to my computer for updates on the maps, so if by chance anything is out there I can get it.
