Rough idle after cbu cleaning
First, I would like to thank this forum for all the valuable information that is posted. I have always enjoyed working on my car(s) with the help of these forums.
My issue is with a slight rough idle in cylinder 1 with codes of 459C and 4AD6. Over the past 2 weekends, I have done the carbon removal with the walnut blasting method, blocked off the swirl valves and replaced all the vacuum lines with silicone hose. I also replaced the MAF sensor and upstream temperature sensor. I also installed a Provent 200 catch can at the same time. The car runs strong after the cleaning. But I noticed a slight rough idle once in a while with the trouble codes listed above. What should I be looking for to solve this issue? Thanks |

Gold, you had a lot happen there to sort through. The thing that jumped out at me was blanking off the swirl valves. Those are in play at idle. Go look at uk forum for info on this. I'm not saying this is it but might be something to follow up. Unforetunately, it's a lot of to put normal ones back to see (intake pull again).

Did you do the mean quantity adaption reset? Try changing the injectors from one to 4 and see if the rough idle goes with the injector. No fun work, too. But having done the walnut blasting you should be used to that...
