Well, I finally picked up my first BMW!!!

Ended up finding a 2007 E90 335xi in Troy, MI. It was a long haul from Columbus, but well worth it! Its SBM with saddle brown interior and brushed aluminum trim (awesome combo!!). Sport Package, Navigation, Cold weather package and only 50,000 miles w/ a CPO warranty.

I couldn't be happier! Just waiting on the title from the seller and I'm off...

JaSSon,

Unfortunately its an AUTO, the wife refuses to drive a manual. Hopefully the DST will hold me over.

I just used craigslist and AutoTrader. I tried cars.com and looking on here as well. Just be patient and willing to travel a little. I even considered one way plane tickets. I lucked out in that Detroit wasn't too awfully far.

Don't settle either! I almost did a couple times, in order to speed things up, but I'm so glad I didn't.

Mine is stock right now, but once I start getting my basketball coaching paychecks, I plan to replace and upgrade a few items.

Sounds nice. I went to Cincinatti to get mine, but I have to admit I got a little antsy because we were going on vacation the next day, but I had the Volvo ready to go if we didn't find anything. Really wanted APW with Saddle though. Bought it and put about 2,000 miles on the first week.

What does SBM stand for in color? Need to learn all these acronyms!

The wait is finally over. I just got my summer wheel setup. The wheels are Alufelgen SF-71s. For tires I went with Hankook Ventus V12.
Here is a quick shot.

PS: Needs a tint, a drop and an exhuast.

Looking great mad_max!!

I just got mine tinted tonight! Went with 50% in the front and 35% in the back, bc of the lovely OH laws. Looks pretty great but needs to finish drying and a wash!

I used the tint dude in case you were wondering. Awesome service and a lifetime warranty for $150 bucks! I would highly recommend him!

Debaged this weekend as well and really love that decision as well.

I also de-badged the day after I bought the car. In Europe there's a factory 'de-badge' option.

I'm thinking of going with 35% all around, which most people go with regardless of the law. BTW $150 seems very cheap compared to all other places, what type of film does he use?

If you go with 50% all the way around it's actually only $99!!

Here's a link to his website: http://www.thetintdude.com/Home_Page.html

It's a 2 ply film, that they guarantee won't peel, fade, bubble or turn purple. He also has a more expensive RTS Carbon film. He also micro edges the windows, which means there isn't that 1/8 to 1/4" gap that dealers and most others leave when tinting.

He also owns a 7 series - so he's familiar with BMW's!!

buckeyeB, can you post a picture of the tints? What's on this car, a 35%?

I'll try to take some tomorrow after I get off work.

My guess is those are 50's, but from that angle it's hard to tell. I think my 35's are harder to see through at a similar angle.

No way those are 50s... I have 50% on my windshield and this one is definitely darker than that. Those look closer to my 30% Madico from that angle, imo.
