o2/lambda sensor

How long should an o2 sensor last on an e93 325? I had it replaced by BMW but it has only lasted 10,000 miles.

Pre-cat or post-cat? Is your 325 the earlier 2.5-litre engine or the later 3-litre (direct injection) engine? Fuel contamination kills these sensors quickly, so you may be looking at a leaking injector...
