Just got a ticket at Van nuys courthouse.
I just got an Expired Parking meter ticket, and a front license plate ticket yesterday after leaving court for another ticket.
-$50 for the expired parking meter -$25 for the Front license plate. My friend works as a Police officer for the Hollywood division. What can i do to get the license plate ticket settled without having to screw my plates back on? My luck huh.....

So i called him, This is what he said
-He said that he can't do it, and that i would need to get a CHP or a Sheriff to sign off on my ticket. ( My guess is that he doesnt want to drive from Santa Clarita to my Neighborhood (the Ghetto). So i guess ill just pay it, get it checked out with my front bumber on with adhesive tape, once its signed..ill take the plates off the next day.. fixed!

Yo S, I would but i wouldn't want you to get a fix it ticket at all.. Where can i buy one of those Tow hooks? If it's a hassel to get that tow hook, I guess i can go borrower your tow hook real quick, get my ticket signed and then bring it right back.. Thanks, I need to get those bulbs off of you so i can have some new fogs!!

I got similar tickets for no plate in the front. Finally, I just decided to get the tow hook plate. Not sure if anyone else makes a version, but I got the Rho Plate. Meter maids are futher muckers and I just didn't wanna give 'em anymore reason to ticket my car. Not the cheapest option, but at least you don't have to drill holes in your bumper.
Another option (I used to do this with my Durango all the time), whenever I got a 'no plate' ticket I would just double stick tape the plate right onto the bumper, take a picture and send it in with the fix-it fee. Not sure if they still allow that as an option, but if your police buddy doesn't wanna sign off the ticket, you can always try that. Should say what your options are on the back of the ticket. Might be a good idea to double check with the PD. |
