'Stafford' Mini Meet Invitation

Hi Folks,

A few of us are planning an informal get together on Sunday 29th November and would like to offer an open invitation to anyone else who would like to join us at The Dog & Doublet Inn at Sandon, Staffs, ST18 0DJ (opposite to the entrance to Sandon Hall) T: 01889 508331.

We are planning to meet at 12 noon for a drink, chin-wag and Sunday lunch (for those who would like). The historic pub (once a coaching inn) does good traditional food at a very reasonable price and there's a choice of set menu or carvery.

Directions: The pub is pretty easy to find and fairly central in the UK.
From the West Midlands, North West, South West - leave the M6 at J14 and follow the A34, onto the A513 and then left onto the B5066 (Sandon Road) towards the A51, the pub is on the right just after the canal bridge.

From the East Midlands, North East, South East - leave the M1 at J24/24a and follow the A50 (towards Derby/Stoke-on-Trent), at Uttoxeter take the A518 towards Stafford, then at Weston turn right on the A51 (watch out for the two speed cameras), until you come into the 30mph zone at Sandon, then left on the B5066 and into the pub car park.

Just need a few more Beemers now to balance out those Audi drivers

Mark and myself will have to find a local spot to do a decent photoshoot as well. Sandon Hall (entrance is opposite the pub) is a lovely big stately home type gaff with very nice picturesque grounds, would be good if we could get the cars across there for some decent pics

Oh, I'd have loved to have tagged along, and added a Nissan to the mix, but am at a wedding that day - doh. Stafford would only take me an hour. Another time.

Hi mate id love to come, 140 miles each way. So 280 round trip. Long way to go for 1dayer.
