Yes go with AR design you will not be disappointed with their product, its quality or their customer service. Plus their Downpipes are a FULL 3" until the last 5 inches of the DP where it reduces...

Thats true.. But the rest of the exhaust is 2.5" anyway, so it doesn't really matter when it tapers back down to 2.5".

Dual 2.5" pipes are well more than anyone could ever need on this car. Mathematically it has more flow than a single 3.5" exhaust.

I have RR dp's and they are awesome, i would recommend buying a used pair because it really isnt worth and going out and paying top dollar for a new pair......

I honestly don't see how it can matter really where they downsize from 3" to 2.5" I mean either way you are limited to 2.5" all the way throughout the entire exhaust. I mean grab a straw and blow on it, now partially pinch it way down at the end opposite of your mouth and blow. Notice it is harder to blow. Now partially pinch the straw in the middle, alot closer to your mouth and once again blow. You will notice it doesn't really matter where you pinch the straw, you are ending up with the same exit volume either way.

I know this isn't very scientific, but if you want to make a difference then run 3" dual exhast ALL THE WAY OUT not just for part of the DP... of course, then you gotta ask "do we even need dual 3" exhaust anyway". Just buy one that is the best deal, coating helps alot too to keep heat out of the engine bay. Quality vs. Price, not where it chokes.

Getting rid of the primary cats or replacing it with an HFC does help with exhaust flow though

find a used set and whichever you can get, they're all probably very similar performance wise. if anything i would wait for AMS to come out with their dp and turbo kits to buy anything new at this point

AR Design is my choice. Installation was great due to excellent fitment. Top notch product and customer support.

if you just want an upgrade for some noise/hp then any set of DPs will do you fine im sure... if you want to MAXIMIZE the hp and squeeze every little bit out of your engine, AR design is your choice

people are arguing that 3" doesnt matter where it reduces blah blah... well i think it does, HOWEVER... thats not the only reason i got AR design

1. THEY FIT PERFECT, no welding on pipes or anything like some of those other companies
2. competitively priced (same as some of competitors, so why not have the pipe go down to 2.5 later)
3. quality = AMAZING.... dont even take my word for it, youll see
4. customer service is great, dude emails you at like 4am just to see if everything went okay... also picks up on the first ring

so if you wanna save a little money here and there go UR... or another used one

you wont find any AR design used dps because no one wants to sell em ; )

you bought a BMW, now why not buy the best parts you can get for it?
