Speedometer display malfunction -please help

Hey Guys,

Came across an issue while coding. Followed the NCS_DIY exactly and started off with the usual coding of the digital speedometer. Coding was successful, but now I get a message "speedometer display malfunction" on the I drive screen. Tach, temp and gauges are dead as well. Speedometer and digital speedometer are working correctly though. Tried fixing the issue by writing a blank .MAN file to the kombi, but with no luck. Writing the blank .MAN cleared my coding to add in the digital speedo so I know it accepted the blank file, but it didnt help the error message and gauge functionality.

I've done a handful of searches, but with little luck on the issue. I did read about someone fixing the same issue by updating the daten files to v42, but the post wasn't real descriptive.

Car is a late 06 build 2007 e92 coupe. Car just recently had a new trans installed at the dealer and the whole car was flashed with the latest software.

I'm pretty tech savvy, but i dont want to brick my car any further. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Nevermind, I'm just retarded and don't know how to use the search. Does anyone have the latest daten files v41 or 42 they could send me or link me to?

You are in the right area on the forum.. There's lite version for E9x chassis on here as well. Couple threads below this on the first page is the full datens as well.

Are you referring to the sp daten 50.2 thread? Will those work on my car? Late 06 build 2007 model.

Yes sir! I'm not sure if it's the most updated dated but it's the one I know of currently.

You just went to dealer so they updated your car to the most recent I-level which would bring you to spdaten 50.2 or even. 51.1. Anyone to those two will work for your car. V42 is way too old for your car.
