AC problem
Anyone having this problem? Not always but many times when I turn off my AC by turning down the fan all the way (the only way to do it) the system turns itself back on in 1-3 minutes. I repeated this at least 5 times yesterday and it just kept coming back on. Annoying gremlin?

Not sure if it matters if I'm running the compressor or not for the AC. I will test it out to see if it makes a difference. At first I thought it only happened if I had the recirculation on auto but this turned out to not be the case. It happens regardless of the recirculation settings.

Can't speak from e90 experience, as wife's car won't be here til August, but I'm pretty sure that in my e46 the fan speed is automatically maintained only when the climate control is in the AUTO mode. Thus, if you manually set the airflow to the head/chest/feet by depressing and illuminating one of those three buttons (and thus extinguish the AUTO light and function), then the fan speed will stay where you set it. Not sure how you would go out of AUTO mode in the e90's CC system, but maybe you could try it out.
