I'll report how it goes. Similar product to the Dr Colorchip but a UK based firm.

Would like to know how you get on with it

Have come to terms with my over enthusiastic nature and will have to get a quote for a bonnet re-spray.
Might answer it

Seeing how 'soft' modern paint is (the black cars yesterday showed this, sadly) I think I would be tempted to clear wrap the front of a modern car......could be money well spent.

Please let us know how this one goes

All these novice chip things are new to me - they look quite easy, but surely can't be?

Chipex Review

As promised, I have written a review of the results with the Chipex Kit. It's posted here in the 1 Series Forum.

I'm going to need to get some kind of chip repair so good to see the options in this thread. Had good results on a red type-r (far and away the softest and thinnest paint ever) with Dr colour chip but I would prefer to buy from UK.

I may have a go at the sanding solution using my bumper for practice. It's a mess anyway so needs a proper respray.

Edit: Can't get the link to the Chipex Kit review to work.

Works now. Good review, the results look good in the pics. I'll add this as number 578 on my "to do" list.

Superb, thanks for posting that up. I don't have too much in the way of "road rash" but a few chips on the bonnet and a couple of tiny light hairline scratches. I think this should cover it and, to be honest, for £50 it's not the end of the world either.
