Whats up guys, so i finally got around to tinting my windows. it was long overdue. I was referred to "joe tint" by my good friend who owns a body shop in Great Neck(AUTO BODY WORKS). At first i was going there to get my roof vinyl put on but ended up getting tint and Joe did an EXCELLENT JOB!!!

Another great thing is that I paid a great price to add on top of the good job. If anyone needs tint on their car please dont hesitate to go to his shop. great guy to deal with and you get a good price. Let him know Peter from PS HONDA sent you!

that is all. Ill post pics probably tonight or tomorrow.

How much did he charge??? What kind of tint does he have??? Is it carbon???

Also when you say roof vinyl do you mean the chrome window molding?? if so how much did that run you ...Would be great to knock out both itmes on one visit...\\PS i got your PM i will put up the pics soon....

Ive done about 6 cars at Joes and he does do a good job. I also recommend him

he has a wide selection of tint i believe, he has a first come first serve policy which is great IMO and hes there at 6am, so you can literally wait for your car to be done and not have thousands of ppl in front of you.

I left my car with him and he took care of the job while i was at work.
His normal pricing i believe is 189. But i paid Less than that. Give him a call and find out the good price

sorry i forgot to adress that before, i actually have a roof overlay which was done for me by Bluebatmobile, its basically a gloss overlay which goes over the roof. not the window trim. But its funny you mention it, because he noticed my POS vinyl job on the window trim and told me to take it off ASAP

, he reffered me over to his boy who powdercoats it, but i just may take it to my buddies shop in Great Neck to take care of it. btw he told me 100 bucks for my install of the roof overlay.

I used them on my old car... I actually have to go there and have them write off a tint ticket for me.

lol i guess i know where to go if i get pulled over. I havent ever gotten stopped for tints, if i do ill just act dum and say i asked for the legal tint. dont know why they put in this dark tint

I got mine done at the dealer...... I always use... "The windows came that way.. so now ur giving me a ticket and I gotta pay to replace the window.." rofl it worked 3 times.. outta 4. I got pulled over 4 times in 1 week.... 15%

I have had 3 cars done there.

he charges $189 for the coupe and $239 for the sedan

I just used this guy Bill at Dun Rite in Bellmore on Merrick road. Holy shit this guy was amazing. No bubbles no lines....perfect. He did my 335 coupe and my dads 535. The 535 was $179.00 and the 335 was $169.00. Ive had 5 cars tinted so far and this was by far the best job Ive ever seen done.

I read on here that metalic tint messes with the navi and the Comfort Access, is there any truth to that?

hey man i heard your kid got sick the day you canceled with tom...i was there that day getting a small thing fixed on my tint.

anyhow tom @ the art of tint FTW!!!

Joes shop is right in the middle of your route, hes in great neck so it would work out perfect. give him a call. # is in my 1st post.

nothing against other tinters but i think some of the prices i have heard from that place are way too steep. IMO anything more than 225 for tint is ridiculous.

the price is really debatable and opinionated. if you want huper optik tom is the only person to go to in tristate area. does he do a good job? hell yea one of the, if not, the best tinter in the tristate area. he has solar guard any % for $250 which is $25 more then your highest amount pay but the extra $25 will get you a long way with tom's friendly service, warranty, and quality of work.

you will find that people that went to tom have nothing negative to say about him, myself included
