It's on M5-M6, but I recall that if you do the M driving school (the one you do on the Ring in Germany) they probably do the same but I can't be sure on that. Better check with the dealer about the options you get from BMW Performance package and if it will remove the limiter. I remember reading about it form BMW website but can't find much now as I don't recall what car model it was exactly...

I'm a CA for a dealer and there is no mention of such thing on the BMW website or the M school site. I also contacted the BMW area rep and he hasn't heard of it either. I had a customer that purchased a M5 a couple of weeks ago and said he heard it somewhere. I guess it must be the german M school.

It is offered in Europe where it costs around 3.000-4.000 $...

Love these threads. One thing that is guarantied on any fan site for any make car is the post of "how I went faster then the factory speed limit". I have to wonder about two things how they get past 155 with the nanny active & where is it done since 11 second 130mph cars with the nanny program shut down starting at 40mph are doing well to make 160mph in a 1/2 mile at an airport.
