I planned on lurking these forums for a while, but need to get in my first obligatory post before I can send a PM to another member. New to the community and crawling through some of this thread, I found some real stunner photography (as well as cars). I like to squirrel away photos on unique shots for inspiration and maybe shoot something similar on my own. My own style, my own gear and my own car right? Sometimes I'll also throw a saved image into google image search to find other similar images and make small collections (old school pinterest I suppose). I did it with one of the photos from this thread and low and behold it comes back with some other identical matches. My impression is that a company lifted one of the images from the forum and is now using it on their website. Maybe it was officially licensed from the photographer (and the member appears to be a pro based on their profile) but I'd be willing to be that it was simply taken without permission. I'm an avid photographer and this stuff drives me insane!

Its hard to ruin a great photo with a big nasty watermark, but just remember that people will lift your artwork without a second thought. Sorry that my first post needed to be a rant, but I'd like to PM the member.

I'll post back someday when I can get some pics on the new car! (weather and work are increasingly prohibitive lately)
