Idrive Help - Don't blast me please!

So I tried searching both the forum and the manual and couldn't find anything which seemed to relate to what I'm looking for (in part b/c I'm not entire sure what it is)...

So in my e-92 idrive, I have these wheel/gear looking things on the maps which are displayed. I don't know how to clear them out. I think they showed up when I did a point of interest search (searching for hardware stores). Can't figure out how to get them off.

Don't think they're related to real-time traffic updates b/c those are usually triangles...

Help!

While looking at the map, move the joystick to the left and select the "i" icon until it has a cross through it.

Thanks - I will try that tomorrow morning. Was I right? Are those locations of hardware stores (the last thing I searched for)?

I believe so. If you do a search for restaurants you should see a fork and knife. Other categories have different icons. On the side bar you should see an "i" icon. Click it and a slash should go over it and the icons should disappear.

I think you can also remove/add the Points of Interest (POI) icons using a voice command. Use the command "options" at the map screen to get details. I believe the command is like "information onscreen."

I confirmed that there are voice commands for POI as mentioned above.
