I think you're onto something there. In fact I think it's the dealers sticking them on. I'm deadly serious. The sheer number you see driven by the most unlikely 'I'm going to buy some cheap badges and fuck about with my car' type people. I saw a lovely Z4 today driven by a typical S11 lady who lunches and it had this god awful M badge stuck to the front grille. There's no way on earth either her or the husband she's divorcing ever got in touch with 'Parts' or logged onto eBay thinking 'This will look soooo fucking cool!'.

Not too sure wheather this is a real E55 AMG or not, but by the looks of it, it didnt look like much of an AMG when I drove past it:

My mate went to view ab E46 330i the other day. It had M badges
that had been removed and left the "felt" like stuff behind, an M3 registration and chrome LED washer jets on the bonnet. One word that expresses the previous owner... BELLEND!!

I saw a pensioner driving a brand new x3 towing a caravan and you've guessed it //m badge present. No way that guy will be bothering sticking the badge must be a dealer.
Tried so hard to get a picture I live in hope our paths will cross once again |

Not sure what type of tyres that is running but that's some awesome grip going on in that photo.

Disappointed I couldn't get a photo of the standard MINI Cooper that I saw the other day...with a John Cooper Works badge stuck on! What a cock. Available on ebay for about a tenner!

Ph link
Who could this be? "Not just M Sports - which TBH are a bit of a con anyway - £3k for some extra plastic and fragile, heavier wheels? Yep - that makes it much more sporty..." http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/t...=1000745&mid=0 |

There was actually a 25 page thread about it - almost all agreeing that it's very sad. And many agreeing about my thoughts on M Sport stuff too TBH the general PH users there seem a bit more laid back in many ways. They largely agree about the massive wheel thing and seem to agree largely on preferring the sleeper approach to cars. It's great here but I feel there are a lot more image led BM owners desperate to have a car dripping in gadgets, sporting vast wheels and covered in sporty plastic extras. Of course the usuals will stampede in my direction shouting all sorts of insults and rants but it's refreshing to have some agreement for once. |

What exactly is a BM W3 series? Love the way the rear window and rear door windows are tinted but the rear 1/4 lights aren't lol The lettering on the side was in 'chrome' effect btw for that extra classy look!!! |

And there was me agonising over my black gloss grille.
Yes my friends, that is a VW Polo sporting some sort of bastardised A3 black grille thing. Either a 1.2 or 1.4, couldn't tell because of the lack of badges on the rear. I believe those are 'leather' seat covers too. Spotted in Meadowhall today. :edit: My mistake, it's a 1.9 diesel. Just looked it up. |

I did post this in another thread a while ago, but this seems the best place for it
Most unconvincing M3 ever, or disguised prototype for the M3 pickup? Spotted in Jordan - the country that is, not the (in)famous slapper.
