Ok. Yeah I have the Hankook V12 as well; since I upgraded my dampers/springs I noticed they are woefully inadequate on the track. Just ordered some Michelin PSS to remedy that.

Lots of questionable information here.

The HPDE list (I know nothing about autocross(they like big sways):
  1. camber plates (you could put the M3 bits in now too...or later)
  2. square tire setup: 18 or 17 X 255/265 all around. Get good track-oriented tires: RS3, Direzzas, and so on
  3. sub frame bushings before or with coilovers
  4. if you're really fast and not having an LSD is really holding you back and you can afford then an LSD.
  5. swaybars to fine tune after working with the coilovers to get them setup for you

Most of what people feel with a big front bar is the lack of roll which feels fast but isn't as it can reduce grip. Camber is far more important to eliminate understeer and balance handling; even with stock suspension. You can make all the mistakes in the world or call HP Autowerks to verify.

As with what I'm saying, you really can't trust what anybody says here because we could all be crappy drivers with no sensitivity. Remember what Jay Leno says "You know, driving is like sex. All men think they are good at it."

cheapest way to good handling in my experience on this car.....

-sport suspension springs / performance bmw springs
-quality damper (bilstein, koni yellow, or bmw performance if matched with springs)
-m3 front control arm kit
-high quality tires (re-11, ad08, rs-3)

Not too expensive, and will maintain excellent ride quality, great steering feel, and good grip to hvae some fun on the track and on the street.

Tires, tires tires! That component alone will improve your lap times significantly.
