GNET BMW356 Nav Video Input Interface
I have a 2008 335i convertible with Nav in which I plan on installing the G-Net BMW356 Nav Video interface so I can display my laptop on the Nav screen.
Has anyone attempted this install? Any help or comments would be appreciated. |

That's pretty sweet. Hell, the backup camera is 1/2 the price of PDC. Supports I-POD video too (that's what I would probably use the most). Wonder really how "easy" the installation process is. Maybe someone on the board will be our guinnea pig
Edit: Just saw the backup camera has night vision. Pretty cool tech.

Wow this seems amazing especially for the price.
I'm interested. Someone let me know how they like theirs. |

I think I'll wait for the EAS one to come out. That is supposedly going to be run through I drive and unlock the stock tv tuner...plus you can still have the Nav help screen showing while watching video. From what I've read, it should do everything plus more than this system. But, it's been "testing this weekend" for a couple months it feels like.

I'd like to get my jailbreak iPhone 3GS to output video via my BMW's iDrive/NAV screen. (and add a backup camera) As of now, my iPhone is outputting audio only. Since I don't like controlling my iPhone via iDrive I don't use the BMW cable. I have my iPhone mounted via a http://www.proclipusa.com (and use a Kensington power cord that supports audio into the headphone jack out the other end.
I found the EAS one searching google / forums etc. http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=2918 Has anyone installed this yet? Is this yellow/composite only, or will it support the higher 3 color component resolution? The old school yellow composite is a bit grainy looking but I'll take it if no other options are out there. Do you have any photos of the actual hardware? I couldnt find anything. I see other brands (beamingordlando) that have a VGA input for laptops. That would be fun to hookup a netbook as well for kix. When backing up, will I still see/hear the sensors system as well as see the new camera at the same time? Also what is the dif between the license plate camera and bumble bee camera options? I see they are the same price. The one that replaces the license plate light looks best, but read the bumble bee cam has a great sensor? |
