Difference in strut mounts between regular and sport suspension on E92?

I am installing new coils and want to replace all the shock/strut mounts. But when I look at turners site they list two different kits. BUT they have the same part numbers listed for both. Is there really a difference between the regular suspension and the sport suspension strut/shock mounts?

Regular - http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-11...n-m-or-xi.aspx

sport - http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-11...uspension.aspx

non-sport front strut guides are lighter and a little taller (about .25 inch) than the sport guides. I'm guessing the weight could be due to aluminum vs steel construction, but I'm not 100% sure.

The sport suspension has shorter bumpstops, and it's possible that the durometer is higher on them, but that is just a guess. If you are getting new coilovers, they should have their own bumpstops though, and either strut guide will work since you can adjust the height on the coilover.

Weird thing is that they are the same part number on that order details. Thats what made it weird.

Don't all E92s come with the sport suspension? Why would there be parts for a "regular" E92 suspension? Or am I missing something?

Shop around turnermotorsport is a rip off. I shopped around and got for half the price sport upper mount for 34.95
And once I called them do inquire about price match and they gave a attitude about it.

No they are different. I'm not sure how that myth started but I know from first hand experience.

Well that may have changed then. All pre-lci E92's imported to the USA by BMWNA used to automatically come with the sport suspension package.

Mine is a 2007. Check out real OEM and you can see the part numbers are different for sport package and nonsport.
