my speakers suddenly stopped working... ?
I have a 2007 328i coupe and one day I get in my car, turn it on and I get no sound from the speakers. Radio is on, no blown fuses, just no sound coming out of the speakers.
I drive for a good 10-15 min and all of a sudden the sound comes on. I figured maybe it was because it was really cold outside it just needed to "warm up". Anyway this happen 2-3 more times and now the sound is completely gone. I driven a whole day and nothing. The radio comes on... just no sound, I've tried CD, radio and AUX and nothing. I don't have an I-Drive just the plain old radio. I'm out of warranty (67k) so I don't want to go to the dealer just yet. Does anyone know what could be the problem? It sucks driving around in silence |

Have you checked any connections? I can take a look if you want. Where are you located? I'm near manayunk.

Me too
I just had this happen yesterday although it was only the radio, I could hear mp3s from the car's hard drive. This morning it was working fine again. Strange

What sound system do you have? If there is no amp in your trunk on the left side, you have base and the speakers would be running off deck power. Your HU may very well be shot. |
