Brake, ABS, Tire Pressure, etc. Warning Lts
On Sunday a whole host of warning lights suddenly lit up...
- ABS - Tire Pressure - Hand Brake - Triangle with circular arrow in center They have all been on since Saturday with the exception of one time on Wed night. The car seems to be operating fine. I'm not sure if this is relevant but we had super heavy rains here in Boston on Saturday and I drove through some 6-8" puddles. Any ideas on what is going on? |

One of your ABS wheel speed sensors has probably gone bad.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

This is a common issue on 2006 330i's. I have had it and have shared my story with several who have and it helped them resolve the issue. It is highly likely you have a bad rear wheel bearing and abs sensor. I had to take my car in two times to get my dealer to figure it out. They ended up sending data to BMW who told them what was wrong. The error codes they will see will not tell them it is a wheel bearing. In fact on my first visit they decided it was a bad battery. Of course they were wrong. The repair is about 800 bucks if you don't have a warranty. You can try just changing a wheel sensor but if that does not fix it then it is a wheel bearing.
