20% or 35% tint...E90 Monaco

I can't decide between 20% tint or 35%. My car is registered in SC, the law allows 27% tint. I live in CT though, and the law is 35% up there.

Honestly, do you think I will be hassled with 20% tint by the cops?

i have 35% front and 20% back. personally think 20% is a little dark at night for my eyes but that's just me. 20% does look very good though

I just got 35% all around and don't regret it! It looks great! I thought about going darker but technically it's illegal to have anything in CA on the front driver side and passenger side. I have yet to post picks because I had a spoiler installed and they installed the wrong one! So when I get that fixed this week I will post. Check my garage in a week if you havn't already tinted. I don't regret not going darker, this is perfect....and let's be real...we aint driving lemos.

depends on your interior color! I have beige interior, and went with 35% for my monaco blue. sometimes, it looks too light for me. I do wish I went darker sometimes. So if you have a light interior, I say go with 20%, and if you have a dark interior, go with 35%.

LOL that's why I went with 35%. I have Oyster Leather. Looks great. Yeah I could see it being darker but...less cop trouble this way.

My interior is chestnut. Sure its not black, but its certainly darker than beige.

Actually there is a legal tint for front windows in California which is about a 50% tint with no reflection, most tinters have this and try to get you to do that, 20% depending on where you live is dicey in Cali for the fronts. I have 35% all around with Monaco over Grey interior and it looks good IMO.

i have 35% on black on black and its a bit dark at times such as cloudy days.
