E92 rear light cluster

Had a "right rear brake light bulb failure" message come up on the dash of my E92 335D---mystery was that the bulb still appeared to be working. Then got a "daytime running lights bulb failure" message---same situation, bulbs appeared to be working OK.

Finally got bored pushing the reset button every time that I got in or out of the car and took car, unannounced, to my local dealer, Stephen James at Ruxley. Was told that this was a known fault and both rear light clusters were replaced by "modified" versions, on the spot, and without charge. Dealer apologised that I would have to wait around ten minutes before they could start on the car, but they would wash and hoover it whilst I waited.
Nice to be able to give a plaudit to a dealer who provided good service.

Didn't know about the modified rear light clusters though---obviously not considered worth a recall nice by BMW Head Office, so if anyone in a E92 gets a rear bulb warning warning up don't assume that you need a new bulb.
