So I've seen a lot of build threads around, and thought it would be fun to make my own I got my car back at the end of September, and I absolutely love it! It's a 2012 335i Coupe xDrive fully loaded (m-sport package, executive package, navigation package). Sapphire black exterior and dakota black interior.

Anyways, I haven't really modded a car before, so I will be starting small with aesthetic interior/exterior mods, and slowly build my way up to more performance-oriented mods (once I can save up a bit more $$ haha). Here is what I have so far. I know some of the stuff isn't exactly a "mod" but it is stuff I have done to the car/for the car! Enjoy!

Haha I only got the car a month and a bit ago so I didn't get the summer to mod Doing as much as I can now with snow just around the corner!

Speaking of which, did a few things this weekend:
1) Installed winter tires with new rims
2) painted caliper orange (ish...)
3) painted hub black
4) dipped 335i badge matte black (but might redo it, didn't come out too nicely..)

Finally updated post with proper pictures.

Placed my order for tint for taillights and foglights today, will take a few weeks to arrive... in the mean time I am waiting for my valve caps to arrive as well as CF vinyl, which I will practice on things around the house and then do on car! Enjoy and stay tuned!

Let's focus less on black Mr. BlackDragon, and let's get some proper aesthetics and some performance going on! I don't think rubber mats and valve stem caps are a mod either.

If I must help you..

I don't mean to toss you in the hole or anything, but a good budget build could start very easily too. I see you're using plastidip a lot.. That's how I know.

For example:
color matched reflector
Performance spoiler rep
CPS lip
Koni springs
spacers
JB4
downpipe.

Done.

Also, try to avoid using too much black. You don't need to black the emblems or anything. The most I black out would be body of car (which you have), tint, roof, grilles, possibly wheels. Carbon fiber doesn't really count

skip plastidipping your exhaust tips and just get the cyba exhaust tips. or get a muffler.

I know It didn't look as spaced out on my 18" rims w/ RFT summer setup, but I went with a box 17" setup for winter, much safer and was recommended. When spring rolls around, I will look into some coilovers for sure!

I know. I should update this thread to "any changes/additions to my 335i" haha. I have always wanted a blacked out car.. so thats the theme im going for, atleast for now. I might actually dip it something extreme next summer like a metallic orange!

Thanks for the tips! Only thing I'm afraid of is voiding my warranty with any mods I do, which is also a reason I have mainly done asthetic. I will slowly do performance but only once I know 100% from the dealer that it won't void anything!

Agreed. Think I might just do that and save up for some sweet cyba quad tips with CF diffuser!

Update! Dec 13/2014:

Biggest update this round is the new high-kick spoiler! Love the new look! Also a few minor things updated. Next thing planned is either an interior LED change or taillight/fog tints... whenever they arrive in the mail.
