30FE Overboost - Is there a way to prevent this?
Guys, after many trials and tribulations I finally got my Procede to work in the very hot asian weather here (where 230-250F oil temps are common after a 15 minute drive). The ignition timing is great to play with, but with anything more aggressive than stock Stage 1 (say, 80% ignition advance) I keep triggering the 30FE Overboost code at 3-4k rpm.
Thing is, the boost logged at the point of limp doesn't seem outrageous--typically between 160-170kpa as reported by BT, which translates to less than 10-11 psi. I suspect some of you are going to say Doomsday maps or better cooling--but before I resort to lesser maps or hardware rigs, is there a more elegant workaround so the ECU doesn't assert itself as aggressively in cutting power? p.s. FWIW I'm running 29.2 on MSD80...

That will positively set off the 30FE--80% appears to be the threshold number...

Do you have an oil cooler and upgraded intercooler? Both might help you here.

OP: I responded to your email. I think it has something to do with the wastegate work your dealership did... I explained this in the email.
