Trailer queens suck!

If Larry can do it with a 3000hp Pro Mod... Why not you??

That is a great story, dude. Thanks for the video, too. I've always wanted to drive Barber but it's quite a hike from Michigan. It is such a great track for sports car racing. How does your car do on oil temps during those long sessions?

Thanks, I could have sold a couple trailers this weekend. I was out on track and people were asking my paddock mate if I had business cards, and how much for one like it.

Evolution Racewerks Sports Oil Cooler takes care of oil temps rather well.

This thing is pretty cool. I've looked at making a teardrop trailer before, I think it could be useful for more than just track days. How does the solar panel do? Will it keep the "house batteries" charged pretty well?

I looked at teardrop's also, even bought plans. But you can't sit in a normal chair inside and chill with a teardrop. If it rains, you get in car, or go lay down in the trailer. I have 60" of headroom, and at 6'5" tall it works well. Definitely useful for any camping. I was going to add 18" to the rear and have kitchen, but I use a propane stove on the fold down table. Thing tows really well also, 75mph with cruise control on.

I have a tractor battery, 360cca. I can run tv and lights all night and battery still has 12.2v in morning, still 80% capacity. A couple hours in the sun and its back to 13.3 and full again.

Bavarian Autosport sells the Curt hitch - Part #11756 @ $449.95

The holes in the subframe for a hitch are already there. These cars were designed to take a Class I trailer hitch, since across the pond they Caravan around the countryside in small campers during the summer quite a bit.

Rather easy install, drop muffler/mufflers, and brackets mount to the end of the bumper support beams. One end goes on the subframe other end ties into the support beams. Added benefit it really locks that subframe down on track. Threshold braking seemed much more stable as that little wiggle as you roll off brakes and start turn in is gone.

Bav Auto also sells the wiring kit to tap into the cars lighting system for trailer - Part # : 59236 @ $99.95. It has a relay box to handle the signal without tripping the bulb out warning. Wiring for brake/lights super simple, they have not changed that portion of a BMW in 30 yrs.

Sounds like you could fund your track addiction by building a few more caravans.

I paid 150 for my curt hitch on Amazon. I tow my jetski with no issues at all in my 6 speed.

This trailer is absolutely awesome. Way to go
