Lol I hope to have one of those eventually or an audi r8 with the v10 so sexyyy!!

I bought my car to be fast in a straight line when I want it to be and it does exactly that and better than any M I have come across. If I really did care about the status of an M or the corner carving ability I would have bought a Porsche hands down. You say night and day difference on every aspect but I haven't come across an M yet that will beat me in the straight line from a dig which was my only, and I repeat ONLY reason for buying this car. I could honestly care less that it is even a BMW! I'm a car enthusiast not a brand or marque whore.
+1. I swear that argument is engraved in the heads of M owners. Unless you are tracking your car every other weekend, it carries very little weight. And let's be honest, the majority of us will never push our cars to their maximum limits whether it be due to lack of skill or because it's not practical.

I need to win the lottery so I can pay for garage space for the cars I want. DMV doesn't make it easy for you to own multiple cars.

I am waiting for the day we all read that Pat sold his car for a Veyron.

M3 drives way way way way better than a GT-R. An Alpha 9 GTR was fast as balls but wasn't as fun to drive as my M3. Couldn't nearly handle as well even with all the upgraded components. But, I didn't elevate them to a godly level but I was merely pointing out the aspects that make an M car. GT3 RS, yes, god's gift to the automotive world. The engineering behind an M car is amazing and to be behind the wheel of something of this caliber is certainly a pleasure, day in and day out. On the track or off.

Trevor, different strokes for different folks. It isn't about speed, for me. I don't live my life a 1/4 mile at a time. While the S65 is one of the major reasons behind me forking up the dough to buy an M3, every other aspect is equally gratifying. Steering wheel, the leather, the cluster, the suspension, the transmission, the styling, basically the complete package that you get when you buy an M car.

I've had 3 series all my life, E30 325, E46 328, E92 335, and I can say... after owning my first M car, of the 3 flavor, it's freakin' night and day from the point where you open the door and plop into the driver seat.

I think you also get similar feeling when you sit in your E30. The if an e92 M3 was within my price range, to be honest, I wouldn't know which one I would have gone with at the end of the day. When reading up on everything BMW does for the series cars, you find out how much R&D goes into our cars. It's one upped when a car is selected for the M badge. At the end of the day, we love our cars. Each car is an extension of who we are because we make each car our own, one way or another. In Pat's case,... well, I'll leave you to finish the joke .

Completely understandable and all that matters is that you get out of your car what you wanted. This being my daily driver/race car combo I wasn't too worried about luxury but I wanted to avoid the plasticky feel of some imports. My girls Acura TL has much more of a luxury feel and sense of comfort than my e92 does in all honesty. I've owned an array of cars and trucks over the years so I knew what I was looking for and I got it. Different strokes for different folks indeed, sir

Just buy a personal jet. You will be faster than all the cars on the road and your baller factor will increase tenfold.

Ahhhh so funny!!! I am far from a baller!! I'm probably going to keep the M3 at least for a year before deciding on whether I want to get an M and also judging from the market!
