Go to Advanced Auto Parts, get a new battery of the same Reserve Capacity as your OEM battery (also the same type of battery AGM/non-AGM) so you can do a simple like for like battery swap. Once you are done with that, buy a $30 ebay coding cable and use Smooth1's free BMWLogger software to register the new car battery. DONE! you just got another 7 years of no battery issues

As for what I'm going to do, I plan to drop all the fluids on the e90 and flush it with fresh fluids now that I'm at 90k miles. Once CPO is up, I'll enjoy modding some more and wait for my original Water pump and car battery to die so I can replace it with a new one... other than that... just keep boosting with the paid off ride and get a new to me X5 ///M CPO for the wife to daily drive instead of the N54 she got her drivers license on and has been daily driving since

I wish that darn Model X would come out, I need AWD in the north east areas... until then... I'll have to settle for a used X5M

TESLA..
I drive them around at work man is it a nice car. So much power/torque I almost slid it sideways when I turned of traction control. I would love to never have to worry about paying for gas again...
Only problem is its way out of my reach price wise... hopefully in a few years it'll get cheaper.

This i3 another consideration however it looks ugly as hell

Not selling my 335i. However, my next stable mate for it will be one of these in a year or two after I drive each one M4, M2, RC-F, GT-R or C7 stingray. As of right now leaning heavily on C7 stingray side.

I don't own one yet but if money wasn't really an option I'd probably do an e92 m3 and have a 07/14 STI as a daily.

I'm not going to sell the e92, but I will most likely buy a C7 Z51 in a few years. I'm waiting to see how good the new 8 speed auto is since GM says it's faster than a PDK. I doubt that it will be but if it can match it or get close, I'd be happy.

I'll be ditching the E90 soon, it never gets driven and a stock N54 is just a money pit for no good reason. I'll probably get into a B7 S4 afterwards, they're pretty reasonable used and it's a great platform. More usable year-round as well.

seriously, I have no intention of getting rid of my 335i, my son will be 25 and I'll still have it (he's 7 mos. now).

But my 1998 Nissan is aging and I realistically want to drive it 2 more years.

At this moment, I want to replace it with a new GTI. It was once a car that I dreamed of, until obviously I graduated to BMW.

I can find very, very, little criticism on the 2015 GTI, seriously. It sounds like a winner. You can even get a perf pkg to bump the HP up by 10 and get larger brakes. So different than Japanese cars where a perf package consists of plastic decals and fake vents and different floor mats and spoilers.....

Mine doesn't always get driven, I am out-of-warranty, and I have not spent any money on it except brake flushes and oil changes. Plugs I DIY'd and one day same with the brakes.

Then you are very lucky. Most of the work i've done on both my N54s was preventative/upkeep, but i'd consider that just part of owning these cars and general best practices type stuff. I've been left stranded twice by this motor in several years of ownership, not sure if that's poor or average.

Oh well I love the motor so it's all good.

E92 M3. I am a HUGE fan of the E92 body also.

The new M4 I'm not a big fan of it yet. (Yes I've seen it in person)

I got a GR STi hatch. The looks are an aquired taste but you can't beat the utility of a hatchback, especially when the rear seats fold flat. It's so much fun in the snow to boot. When the km's start getting high (it's at 65k now) I'll switch to something smaller; maybe a GTI (always wanted one, my first car was a mk3 Golf and I still miss it) or a 500 Abarth. Maaaaaaaaaaaaybe a Honda CR-Z MT if gas prices really get out of hand.

Didn't GM recently disband Holden? Such a fucking shame, too. Before my 335i I had a Pontiac G8 which was just a LHD Commodore with a different front bumper. Fucking fun car.

Well I don't know about the name, but the factory is closing in 2017 and the next RWD platform will not come from them. You're right, it is a shame. For a while now, they've made some of the cooler cars in the world. Fell in love with the Maloo on my visits there, what a vehicle.

G8s were great, that's why the SS was on my radar. And LS3 aftermarket is pretty good. Only issue I'm seeing is that everything aftermarket (SS specific) is expensive, it's like being back in a BMW in that regard. Also the chrome everywhere was a big thumbs down.

2015 SS should get 6MT and MRC, rumors of a Touring down the road are flying around.... Maybe GM will give it a proper sendoff stateside, who knows. It's an excellent platform and GM has magic tech (MRC) and some real good players in the engine dept (LT1 for one), wonder if they'll risk putting all that together to make a real bahnburner. Doubtful but one can hope.

Imagine an HSV ute here, I'd shit my pants and head straight to my nearest dealer.
