What lights to use for 2011 328xi sedan?

Hi,

I've tried to reach as much as I could on a number of websites, including this one ofcourse, but I'm still a bit confused between what to order so as to replace the yellow rings (angel eyes, corona rings or w/e else we call 'em) to white.

One of the options that I came across based on the website is LUX H8. The other option I came across is GP Thunder as per this link (I do apologize if we are not allowed to post links): http://www.**********s.com/GP-Thunde...BMW-Models.htm . However, based on the sticky in these forums GP Thunder are not listed for E90? LUX H8 seems like a set of two lights. however, when I order GP thunder through the link, it gives me the option of ordering cornering lights as well. What are those?

Given that I'm driving 2011 E90 328xi sedan, which have halogen lights instead of xenon, do I need to replace more than just the bulbs for the corona rings? It would look pretty weird to have white lights but still yellowish 'full lights'. Or am I completely off drift here.

Please do let me know.

I was wondering the same thing for my 09. Since both of ours are LCI and mines has halogens as well. I'll see if I can find out more. Yeah if you replace the angel eyes only, your other lights will obviously still be yellow. I was thinking of buying a retrofit kit for my head lights and then some tru-match bulbs for my fogs to match the lights. This would all run me about $500 roughly =\

You didn't quite get it. You didn't purchase the Xenon headlights with your car, and as such, you can't use the LUX H8's for your angel eyes. I have an E90 LCI (328i xDrive) with the xenon headlights, and I'm contemplating the LUX H8's, due to the fact that I have xenons. Make sense?

Yea, I get it now. I had no idea there were both halogens and xenon in 328i xdrive. Thanks!

Wow. That looks like a good solution. Not sure how many people have used that though. Is that a 'simple' plug & play type? Being a lease, I don't want to do more than just changing a light bulb lol.

Sorry my IPhone messed that last post up.

Yes it is plug and play. I'm considering doing the same for my car. I read some reviews on other forums, people wished they were brighter during the day time, but I'm not really concerned with them being overly bright in the daytime. I just want to get rid of my factory halogens.

I have a LCI e90 with halogens, but I'm about to buy xenon headlights off another member.
What bulbs, ae's, and whatnot do I have to buy in order to get a functioning conversion?

You will need to code your car for xenons.

I would get the 6W HighPerformanceBulbs.com AEs http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/bmwaneywh6wa.html designed for the e90 pre-lci with xenons. Then, follow this DIY: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=285855
That should be plenty bright for your needs! My issue with the Weisslicht units someone else recommended is that they are essentially rebranded R-Dash lights, marked up 2.5-3x higher than their identical counterparts.
